About It's Not for Sale, Francis' debut EP.
Recorded in Jersey Bound's basement rehearsal space in 2005, It's Not for Sale,
Francis' debut EP was arranged and recorded spontaneously after a series of furious
jam sessions where Tom and Ryan played facing each other, rocking first and thinking
second. Or third.

Rock first, think later.
And even that mantra was never thought through, never a conscious decision.
It's Not For Sale, Francis was born when one brother called the other and asked if he wanted
to jam. One of them came prepared to play some folky acoustic jams, the other came
prepared to rock loud and hard. So rock ensued (one acoustic song, Time & Labor,
rediscovered itself as a rock song). After one practice, it was too late, too irresistible, to play
anything but the rawest and most immediate rock.
The songs were all arranged spontaneously, in a very organic way...when there's just one
guitar, breakdowns and deviations can be made at any moment, with no need for the rest of
the band to catch up. It was just a matter of facing each other and playing, each reading
where the other wanted to go.
An album's worth of songs were written (some of the best never recorded!), and four were
finished before other demands lead to a three year break. But some recent offers to record
them might get the duo back on the horse.
